Its heritage alone is an undisputed guarantee of its high quality.
The region of Thessaly is renowned for the tsipouro it produces, but the finest tsipouro is made in the area of Tirnavos, thanks in large part to a centuries-old tsipouro distilling tradition that has been handed down unchanged from generation to generation!
Since one of its ingredients is the finest grape variety grown in the area, the muscat, it is no surprise that the “Tsipouro of Tirnavos” has been designated a Protected Geographical Indication.
