Metaxa Five Star is a Greek brandy and was discovered in 1888 by Spyros Metaxa. He was a distiller who had a love for wine and brandy. To create Metaxa Five Star, Spyros started by blending the finest matured wine distillates he could get his hands on with the selected sun soaked grapes from Attica. This is then matured in oak casks for 5 years with selected aged Muscat wines and a secret mix of botanicals. Once the maturation is over the spirit is ready to be filtered and then enjoyed
Metaxa 7 star Wine Brandy is the sophisticated member within the Metaxa range. This bottle was inspired by ancient Greek vases (Amphorae) in which wine and spirits were carried. Metaxa 7 star Wine Brandy is made up of wine distillates aged up to 7 years which give it a sweet and full bodied taste. Mellow taste with hints of vanilla and a delicate aroma make Metaxa 7 star Wine Brandy a spirit of distinction.
