Cinnamon wood 40g
Benefits of Cinnamon:
- can lower blood sugar levels
- reduce heart disease risk factors
- has a plethora of other impressive health benefits
Cinnamon, is used in the form of a stick or ground in sweets, meat, liqueur, vermouth, ice cream and in various kinds of curry.
It is more safe to use it in the form of stick because in the form of powder it may contain other substances. Apart from that, when the cinnamon stick is ground, its aroma is kept solid.
About
Cinnamon is originally grown wild in central hill country of Sri Lanka. The history of cinnamon dates back to about 2800 B.C where it can be found referenced as ”kwai” in Chinese writings. ... Portuguese traders made their way to Ceylon in the 15th century, enslaved the natives and had the control of the trade from Arabs.
Taste
Ceylon cinnamon's flavour and aroma are extremely mild and delicate—it definitely reads as "cinnamon," but with subtle, almost floral notes in there.
Lifespan
The tree produces small yellow or green flowers on panicles and a berry fruit. Cinnamon trees can reach heights of up to 20 m (66 ft) in the wild but are usually coppiced to smaller bushes under cultivation. Cinnamon trees have an economic lifespan of approximately 10 years.
